New Alamein City is a fourth-generation Egyptian new city located in the Matrouh Governorate, Egypt, on the Mediterranean Sea, approximately 240 kilometers west of Cairo. It was established by decree of the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt No. 108 of 2018, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi laid its foundation stone on March 1, 2018.

New Alamein City is located on the Mediterranean coast, about 240 kilometers west of Cairo. Its borders start from Wadi El Natrun Road to Dabaa, and the Alexandria-Matrouh International Road is being converted from kilometer 93 to the intersection of Wadi El Natrun El Alamein to be an entrance to Alamein City with a length of 33 kilometers. New Alamein is located within the administrative borders of Matrouh Governorate with a length of 48 km from the international coastal road (Egypt).
